A. I think the main differences between a news story and an opinion story is that the writer in hard news story isn't allowed to express opinion, but in an opinion story, the writer can persuade you to think a certain way. Another main difference is they can be written in 1st person, too. Hard news stories can't. In a hard news story, you probably need to do a lot of research to inform people about, but in an opinion, you just need your own brain to give them reasons.
